I am hoping that the good reviews on support are true.

We received our curtain rod, but could not put it up until we moved into our new house.

Now that the curtain rod is installed, the remote does not work. The spring from the battery fell out. The manual control hanging from the curtain works just fine, but we should not have to get up and go to the curtains to open them. That was the whole point of a remote control.

Programming the curtains for Alexa is also very complicated, and my husband is having difficulty. My husband is IT support for a major OEM. If he is having problems, then something is very off about the software.

This was my Christmas present from my husband and son. They spent 4 hours figuring this thing out, and installing it, only to have the remote fail. We were planning on putting a couple of these these in our old house to boost the marketability. Also, people want to know where I bought it so they could get one for themselves, but I cannot recommend this unless it is reliable and has a good support system.

I have wanted this type of mechanical curtain for 20 years, but they were always priced out of my range. I am wishing that I had waited a little longer to buy, because they are now $20 less than when we bought this one a few weeks ago at $215.

On the other hand, if the remote is replaced, it seems like a really good product for a really good price. My son is very precise when building things. His only complaint about the instructions was that when he read them, he overlooked the part that said to put the tabs into the rod before assembling it. He had to take them back apart to put the curtain tabs back in. Otherwise, the length of time to assemble them was more from his careful assembly than any other reason. I suspect that he won't have any problem and it will go much more quickly if we buy another set.

I am giving 4 stars because the product seems good and at Christmas, with the rush, sometimes things go wrong. I would have given 5 stars if the remote had been good.
