Prepare overhead structure for installing golf impact screens
All METechs retractable golf impact screens come with two L shape mounting brackets. They have to be mounted on a solid structure, such as wood, concrete, metal, and other solid material. Drywall anchor installation will not work because of impact force. These screens can be easily installed either on the wall or ceiling. A ceiling mount is a very common and easy way to install these screens.
Our standard screen is 126” high, but the maximum installation height from the top of the bracket to the bottom floor should be less than 118” since at least 8” of fabric is used to attach to the top tube and bottom weight bar. The setup height is programmable from anywhere between few inches and 118”. It will automatically stop at the top or bottom where you programmed it.
If your existing overhead structure is not ready to install the screens, almost any overhead mount structure could be converted into a ceiling mount application with some lumber, such as 2” by 4” or 2" by 6" lumber. If your installation height is higher than 118”, we suggest that you drop down the mount positions to 118” or lower.
Expand the built-in solid structure with a piece of wood. The wood is used in case the bracket holes don't exactly align with studs or solid structures.
This can turn a wall mount into a ceiling mount with L shape extended structure for an off wall mount. Drop down ceiling positions.
The screen kit can be recessed into the ceiling or box.
